Health Dilemma

As much as I hate to, I did it anyway. I’m not the type of person who commits a lot of absences at work. Most of the times, I still go to work when I’m feeling bad or the like. But yesterday was worse, I tried to drink medicine and plenty of water just to make the sickness subside, but it did not work. That’s when I knew, I really can’t make it to the office. For the record, I had my first sick leave within 2 months in the new company I’m in (not something to be proud about).

I spent the whole day, sleeping, resting, reading, and eating when I can. I feel guilty for taking my health for granted. I always knew I have a good immune system as I don’t usually get sick, or seldom I should say. But this doesn’t mean that I have to abuse myself. I take this day as a can-opener to take my health seriously by all means. With this, I have these things to remind myself:

  • Girl, buy a new umbrella! Don’t make an excuse that you lost it last week! It’s always raining nowadays.
  • Take in Vitamin C everyday.
  • More more veggieeees!
  • I know you like browsing your social media accounts, but please, get more sleep!
  • Find time to go running, your 21-km run is happening in less than a month. You don’t want to have knee sprain again, do you?

  • Sometimes we have to have a time for ourself. And that’s fine. Glad you were able to find yourself! πŸ™‚ Miss you sis! Kamusta na?

    • That’s true. Now I take rest, whenever I can. I still have cough and cold but it’s bearable now. πŸ™‚

Miss you too sis! Long time no chat. I saw that you recently passed the medical technologist licensure exam, congrats Gail! Beauty and brains ka talaga. <3

      • Kaya medyo MIA ako sa web hihi awww thank you so much sis <3

  • I should probably take note of your reminders to yourself as it also applies to me… I’m not proud to say it but I haven’t been really health-conscious and I know that time will come that this will get to me. I should probably start taking care of myself now before it’s too late!

    • Prevention is better than cure, they say. πŸ™‚ I’m happy that you were able to reflect on this too.

Ahh, seriously I need those reminders for myself too. I should start taking good care of myself now. I’ve been weakling these past few days, thought it was because of the bipolar weather, but then my back started aching and I was feeling so anxious about it all the time. You take good care of yourself, Ate Dianne. O hope everything will be fine soon.

    • I think the weather also adds to why a lot of people get sick nowadays. But yes, we should always put our health on top of the list. πŸ™‚

I’m fine now Lou, thanks! Just a mild cough and cold and I’m good.

  • I had my first sick leave before I get regularized as well. Girl, let’s practice better healthy living. It sucks to get sick I tell you. XO

    • OMG Clint! You’re blogging na ulit! Yeees yes, it’s terrible! πŸ™
