I have always been known as the low-maintenance girl. I was known to be that girl who doesn’t really care much about how messy-looking her hair was or how bushy her natural thick brows looked like. I can say, there’s still a part of that low-maintenance girl in me even up until this age. But there are inevitable changes that come along with maturity. Not only does the number gets higher or our perspectives in life redefine, but our physical attributes also change. Thus, adapting and enhancing are the things I saw myself embracing as these physical changes happen to myself.
I started caring about my skin and my overall physical self. I started getting hooked to watching skin care videos, makeup tutorials, and product reviews. With this, I decided to put extra attention to my blog’s beauty section while I share my experiences and my growth to this whole new learning venture of mine.
This post is marked as my first ever beauty-related blog post after revamping my blog’s beauty section and this one is dedicated to my newest favorite beauty online store in the Philippines, BeautyMNL. I was fortunate to be handpicked by their team to test run their shopping website and be able to check out their wide array of beauty products from both local and international brands. So who am I to decline that offer? Of course, I became so ecstatic in a snap!
My overall shopping experience was so smooth and easy. Even the website itself was very user-friendly. There was a search bar at the top part of the interface for easy product searching. There were also category tabs for easy navigating. They are quite generous when it comes to promotions as well. They offer different kinds of promotions regularly for selected items. So make sure to always check their social media accounts to get notified.
I was so impressed with how fast their delivery time took place. I received my parcel in less than 24 hours after I hit the order button. Let me repeat that, LESS THAN 24 HOURS, YOUUUU GUUUYS! Delivery time is really something to me when it comes to online shopping cos admit it, we don’t like waiting! It may vary depending on your location but as for the Metro Manila peepz, we can possibly get the items as early as less that 24 hours just like mine. Except during weekends and holidays, of course.

Skin Genie Anti EYEging – PHP 150.00
Skin Genie Anti EYEging is a soothing and moisturizing eye cream with a roller tip. Skin Genie is a local brand and I heard many good reviews about this brand already. #supportlocal To be honest, this is the first time that I ever used an eye care product (if that’s how to call it). I absolutely love the scent, it adds up to the relaxing effect it gives on my eye area. With the kind of work I have, my eyes can look really tired and saggy. I use this every night before I go to sleep and it’s super easy to apply because of the roller tip. It’s not a cream at all, it has a watery/light consistency which is easy to spread. Just glide the roller very lightly around your eye area and leave it there overnight. I like how it made my eyes less puffy and although my dark circles are still there, I can say that I’m loving this product already. My dark circles are deep cos of my genes, maybe? I also have wrinkles and fine lines even at a young age, again cos of genes? Talk about blaming the genes. haha. But let’s see in the long run if this product will help lighten those problem areas I’ve mentioned. Cos it may be too early to tell.
Skin Genie Pit Perfect Underarm Whitening Scrub – PHP 200.00
Skin Genie Pit Perfect Underarm Whitening Scrub is a whitening scrub that brightens and smoothens the skin under the arms. This is from the Skin Genie brand. I haven’t tried this one yet so I can’t provide that much information for now. I’ll create a separate review about this together with the Skin Genie Pit Perfect Underarm Whitening Cream. My curiosity got me into ordering this because of the good reviews. I hope this will work like a charm too!
Skin Genie Pit Perfect Underarm Whitening Cream – PHP 200.00
Skin Genie Pit Perfect Underarm Whitening Cream is a whitening cream that gently lightens dark underarms. As mentioned earlier, I haven’t tried this one too. But I have high expectation for this product as it was part of the 2016 BeautyMNL awards. The award goes to show the number of people ordering and liking this product from the shopping website.
Beach Born Bam Balm – PHP 168.00
Beach Born Bam Balm is an all-natural edible scrub for softer, smoother lips. I can tell so many positive things about this product. This is THE BOMB when it comes to moisturizing and hydrating your lips! Eversince I tried this lip product, I’m no longer afraid of trying out matte liquid lipsticks which we all know have the tendency to make our lips super dry. It helped reduce the lines on my lips which are due to excessive dryness and peeling. I love the minty scent, for sure! It doesn’t have that greasy/oily feeling that other lip balms leave you with. This instantly became part of my HOLY GRAIL! I’m not even exaggerating.
LA Palette Nudes in Nude Beige – PHP 800.00
Remember my birthday wish list? I’m happy that I finally got my hands on the LA Palette Nudes in Nude Beige even though it came a bit late from my exact birthday. I thought of writing a separate review post about this eyeshadow palette but my hands were so itchy to try it out! I love the pigmentation and the color selection of this palette! The colors are very wearable, of course, because they are in the nude shades. I might still do a review-slash-makeup-look using this palette from L’oreal Paris. I don’t regret ordering this despite it being the most expensive of all the products I got from BeautyMNL. It’s so worth it.
My overall shopping experience was AMAZING! It took me quite a while to decide which products to add and remove from the cart. I have this habit of reading lots of reviews prior to buying because just like anybody else, I can’t afford to waste money even if they’re given for free. I just have to choose wisely! I browsed BeautyMNL several times until I found myself reading articles from their BLOOM Online Magazine. In BLOOM, you’ll find tons of well-written articles from beauty, makeup, skincare, tips, and reviews. You’ll definitely learn a lot from the Bloom Team!
