As much as I hate to, I did it anyway. I’m not the type of person who commits a lot of absences at work. Most of the times, I still go to work when I’m feeling bad or the like. But yesterday was worse, I tried to drink medicine and plenty of water just to make the sickness subside, but it did not work. That’s when I knew, I really can’t make it to the office. For the record, I had my first sick leave within 2 months in the new company I’m in (not something to be proud about).
I spent the whole day, sleeping, resting, reading, and eating when I can. I feel guilty for taking my health for granted. I always knew I have a good immune system as I don’t usually get sick, or seldom I should say. But this doesn’t mean that I have to abuse myself. I take this day as a can-opener to take my health seriously by all means. With this, I have these things to remind myself:
- Girl, buy a new umbrella! Don’t make an excuse that you lost it last week! It’s always raining nowadays.
- Take in Vitamin C everyday.
- More more veggieeees!
- I know you like browsing your social media accounts, but please, get more sleep!
- Find time to go running, your 21-km run is happening in less than a month. You don’t want to have knee sprain again, do you?
